You've found our Gran Canaria Vacation: About Us page. Hola, incase you were wondering who's behind Gran-Canaria-Vacation's web pages you have come to the right place. My name is Julio and my wife, Fani, is a Gran Canarian. I met her in San Antonio, Texas, a city that was founded by Canary Islanders. I know, what a coincidence! 
I will spare you all the details to make this story short. Back in the States, we decided to take a vacation in Gran Canaria. Four years have gone by since and here we are, in Gran Canaria taking a very long beach vacation. I have fallen in love with the island. The beaches are excellent, the people are very friendly, the weather is warm year round and the food is very delicious. Guess what? We're in no rush to return to the U.S..Yes, we do miss our family and friends but we're getting used to it. Besides, life is too good on this island. Gran Canaria is such a great place that we've decided to build a website to share the island with you. I have been up and down the island and have enjoyed everything I have seen and experienced. Fani, is also a wealth of information since she has lived most of her life in Gran Canaria.We've put the information on this website for all of you who are coming or thinking about visiting Gran Canaria. 
The information is from a local point of view. What else can I add? Gran Canaria is a great destination for holidays, beach vacations, golf vacations and just plain rest and relaxation.
